Please join the Master Gardeners of Nevada County as we present the first of two free public workshops on Irrigation Systems. Designing and building an efficient, cultivated horticultural space may be a daunting task for those new to gardening. These one-hour workshops are designed to help home and property owners understand some of the steps involved in building an efficient irrigation system and discover improved new products.
Part 1 focuses on the water needs of the irrigation plan:
- Determining your soil type and hydrozoning requirements
- Concepts of water flow, water pressure, determining the length of hoses

The webs of pipe and hose may be a mystery to some gardeners. This workshop is designed to demonstrate to home and property owners the steps involved in building an efficient irrigation system.
Part 2 focuses on the specific components needed in the irrigation system:
- Starting at the initial water outlet, every phase of establishing an irrigation system
- Up-to-date products and tools used in the building of the physical system
