Family Fun at the Demonstration Garden!
In 2022 the Master Gardeners of Nevada County started a new workshop series for families who garden (or wanted to start).
The family-focused "growing vegetables "series started Saturday, April 23, and was offered one Saturday a month through October.
Each unique workshop was held at the Demonstration Garden with an opportunity to learn, through hands-on activities, about vegetable gardening activities related to that month.
Led by Kim Lockwood, a Master Gardener and teacher for 40 years in California public and home schools, these new workshops were designed for parents, grandparents and children ages 4 and older. Several other Master Gardeners were also involved with the project.
